Coleen Rooney and husband Wayne Rooney were 6,000 miles apart on their second wedding anniversary on Saturday.
The Manchester United footballer was in South Africa for England's World Cup clash against the USA.
Coleen, 24, has stayed in the UK with the couple's 8-month-old son Kai so that Wayne can focus on his soccer commitments.
‘This was one of Wayne's biggest matches, but Coleen thinks she has made the right decision by not travelling to South Africa,' a source tells the Mail On Sunday.
‘The travel logistics were a nightmare and with a little baby in tow, she decided the best thing was to stay at home.'
Instead, Coleen spent the day at her parents' home in Huyton, Liverpool.
The family invited 30 friends over for a barbecue and to watch the England game on TV.
